Barra live in a very wide range of waters from freshwater lagoons and rivers, through to the tidal reaches among the mangroves of those river mouths, and out along rocky head-lands and beaches. Sometimes, especially during the run-off, they’re eating quite specific food items that need to be imitated, and at other times (most of the time) they’ll feed on most things that are swum in front of them. This pack contains an excellent selection of known Barra killer flies that will cover all the scenarios Barra can be fished in. As a general rule use the more heavily dressed and darker flies in dirtier water, and the lighter sparser flies in cleaner water. Use a variety of retrieves but expect the bite on the pause. Barra like the bottom half of the falling tide and the first of the run in tide.
