A Rod & Rifle original
A short rod. A Territory story.
The Chopper started with a simple idea: a compact rod for the Land Cruiser dash and the helicopter. Made with Shimano and exclusive to Rod & Rifle, the new range keeps that four-foot format and adds a two-piece butt joint.
Choose your reel type first, then your colour. Green baitcast, pink baitcast or green spin. No guesswork about which setup you need.

Good to know
A few questions, answered.
Is this the new two-piece Chopper?
Yes. This page is for the new butt-joint range developed with Shimano, not the older one-piece Chopper or the Abu Garcia BT 402H.
Which model suits my reel?
Choose a baitcast model for a baitcasting or overhead reel. Choose Green Spin for a spinning or eggbeater reel. Colour alone does not identify the reel type.
Is there a pink spin model?
Not in this range. Shimano’s current artwork shows green baitcast, pink baitcast and green spin.
When can I order?
Select your rod, setup and quantity above. The chooser checks available stock before adding to your cart. All three rods are $99.00 each.
Can I get more than one sent together?
Yes. Standard shipping for Chopper rods or combos is $15 per order, whether you choose one or several. Free Click & Collect is also available. Restricted items in a mixed order remain subject to their pickup requirements.
Does the rod include a reel?
Choose rod only, or a matching reel spooled with 30 lb Sufix braid. Baitcast rods offer Black Max, SLX, Curado DC or Metanium options; Green Spin offers Sienna, Nasci, TD Black, Stradic or Saltist. Available setups and prices are shown in the chooser. The exclusive reel mentioned below is a separate future release.
