Elemental Map Compass

The Elemental Map Compass combines a transparent baseplate with a liquid-filled dial that rotates through 360 degrees. Metric and imperial scales help with map measurements, while the built-in magnifying lens provides a closer view of smaller map details. A lanyard and instructions are included with the compass.

This is model GMA1055, the standard Map Compass supplied through OZtrail. Its plastic body measures 11.5 x 6.5 x 1.8cm, and the manufacturer specifies a 1:25,000 map scale. The clear baseplate allows the compass to be aligned directly over a map while keeping the markings underneath visible.
